Gather ingredients: 115 g unsalted butter, 30 ml olive oil, 4 cloves garlic, 15 g fresh parsley, 1 loaf Italian bread, 2 g salt, 30 g parmesan cheese. Tools needed: small saucepan, knife, cutting board, baking sheet, pastry brush.

Preheat oven to 232°C and mince garlic and parsley.

Heat butter and oil in a small saucepan over medium heat; add garlic and parsley and stir until butter is melted.

Slice bread lengthwise, place on baking sheet, and brush cut sides with butter mixture.
