
Ground Beef Tacos
A quick kid-friendly Mexican dish. Ready in about 15 minutes, serves 4.

Ingredients
- • 15 ml vegetable oil
- • 1 yellow onion
- • 450 g ground beef
- • 2 cloves garlic
- • 1 green chile
- • 5 g salt
- • 5 g chili powder
- • 2 g black pepper
- • 2 g cumin
- • 15 ml water
- • 4 corn taco shells
- • 100 g shredded cheese
- • 100 g tomato
- • 100 g lettuce
- • 60 ml salsa

Gather ingredients: 15 ml vegetable oil, 1 yellow onion, 450 g ground beef, 2 cloves garlic, 1 green chile, 5 g salt, 5 g chili powder, 2 g black pepper, 2 g cumin, 15 ml water, 4 corn taco shells, 100 g shredded cheese, 100 g tomato, 100 g lettuce, 60 ml salsa. Tools: skillet, spatula, knife, cutting board, measuring spoons.

Dice the onion, garlic, chile, tomato, and lettuce.

Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat and cook onion for 2 minutes.

Add ground beef to the skillet and sear, chopping into small pieces until no longer pink.

Add garlic and chile; cook for 2 minutes until garlic is soft.

Add salt, chili powder, black pepper, cumin, and water. Mix well and cook for 3 minutes.

Place 1/4 cup meat mixture into each taco shell, followed by 1/4 cup cheese, tomato, and lettuce.

Drizzle with salsa and serve.
