Ingredients

  • 60 ml gin
  • 30 ml dry vermouth
  • 150 g ice cubes

Method

    Gather ingredients: 60 ml gin, 30 ml dry vermouth, 150 g ice cubes. Tools needed: mixing glass, bar spoon, Hawthorne strainer, chilled Nick and Nora glass, minicarafe.

    Hold ice cubes in palm and crack into jagged pieces using the back of a spoon; fill mixing glass with cracked ice.

    Add 60 ml gin and 30 ml dry vermouth to the mixing glass.

    Rapidly stir the mixture 50 times in a circular motion until the outside of the glass is frosty.

    Strain the martini through a Hawthorne strainer into a chilled Nick and Nora glass.

    Strain any remaining liquid into a minicarafe set on ice as a sidecar.
