
Our Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

- • 1 tsp baking powder
- • 1 tsp salt
- • 0.5 tsp baking soda
- • 2 large eggs
- • 1 tsp vanilla extract
- • 225 g unsalted butter
- • 150 g granulated sugar
- • 150 g brown sugar
- • 340 g chocolate chips

Gather ingredients: 280 g flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt, 0.5 tsp baking soda, 2 large eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 225 g unsalted butter, 150 g granulated sugar, 150 g brown sugar, 340 g chocolate chips. Tools needed: oven, 2 rimmed baking sheets, parchment paper, medium bowl, small bowl, large bowl, electric mixer, spatula, wire racks.

Preheat oven to 190 Celsius and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl.

Lightly beat eggs and vanilla in a small bowl.

Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes.

Add egg mixture and beat until pale and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Reduce speed to low and add dry ingredients until incorporated.

Fold in chocolate with a spatula.

Spoon 12 heaping tablespoons onto each sheet and chill for 15 minutes.

Bake for 10-12 minutes at 190 Celsius, rotating sheets halfway through, until golden brown.
